Just in time for the start of the school year! The Itzazu® Hand Washing Fun Kit is a great way to teach your children about germs. If you are a teacher, why not plan a Germ Awareness Day in your class for all the kids? See our suggestions below for what you can do to help spread the word and not the germs. Visit www.itzazukidz.com for activities and lots of facts on germs.

1 Bottle of Blue Kangaroo Soap
1 Bottle of Purple Panda Hand Sanitizer
40 - .5oz Blue Kangaroo
10 - 2oz Purple Panda
1 Sneeze & Coughing Simulator Spray Bottle
72 Reward Stickers
5 Itzazu Decals
1 Vial of Mock Germs (Glitter)

Here’s what we suggest:

Schedule your day to include lessons on different types of germs.  If you need some help, go to our web site and click
on Germs 101, where you can get some helpful information on Germs as well as print off our germ quiz to test your kids on what they’ve learned. You can even do a lesson on healthy bacteria cultures used in types of foods like yogurt and vinegar, you could get a list together and as a homework assignment, have the kids think about different foods that contain these items and bring them in for Germ Awareness Day.

The most important part of the day, will be teaching your kids how to wash their hands properly. Here is what we suggest:

Take the vial of “Mock Germs” out and dab a little on your hand, go around the room and shake the hands of the children, this simulates how easily germs spread.  Apply more “germs” when needed. Now it’s time to wash your hands, kid’s love cartoons and comics, printing off our Hand  Technique pages is a really fun way to teach kids how long to wash hands and the steps are easy to follow to get clean hands! You’ll be amazed at how much fun the kids will have with Itzazu Color Changing Hand Soap; they won’t want to leave the sink!

Next up in your day of events, is the Sneeze & Coughing Simulator. Here is what we suggest:

Take out the spray bottle and fill with water making sure to not overflow.  We recommend adding a few drops of Blue Food Coloring, so when you spray on a piece of white paper, the kids can see how not covering their mouths can spread germs.  Now go over the proper way to sneeze and cough.
